BLG 105 (2-2-3-4) INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES: The aim of the course is to provide students with internet system and popular services and let them acquire basic skills for using operating system (Windows 7) and also Office application programmes such as Ms Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access.
HIG 101 (2-0-2-5) INTRODUCTION TO PUBLIC RELATIONS: The aim of the course is to provide students with the perspectives of the public relations process and practices and acquaintance with public relations history, theories and principles. Topics are listed as basic concepts and definitions of public relations, the role of public relations in organizations and marketing, the history and evolution of public relations in the world and in Turkey, corporate culture and corporate identity.
SOS 107 (3-0-3-5) SOCIOLOGY: This course aims to familiarize students with basic concepts of sociology which will offer them a better understanding of the society and social relations that we live in. This course also aims to provide communication students with a sociological perspective in the analysis of media texts and cultural products.
IBG 103 (3-0-3-5) INTRODUCTION TO COMMUNICATION: The aim of this course is to examine the fact of communication in terms of its types, functions, models, instruments and relations with other disciplines.
PSK 101 (3-0-3-6) INTRODUCTION TO PSYCHOLOGY: The aim of this course is to introduce the basic psychological concepts and theories and sub disciplines in psychology and to provide to the students  an overview of topics such as definition of psychology, biological determinants of behavior, personality, learning, intelligence, cognitive processes and psychological problems.
YIT 101 (3-0-3-5) YIT 101 (3-0-3-5) NEW COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES: This course aims to enable students to analyze and read critically the changes produced by the new communication technologies in daily life. During the course, Debates and discussions will be held on how to use new communication technologies more effectively, equitably and abiding to ethical principles.

TUR 104 (4-0-4-4) TURKISH: The aim of the course is to teach students the place of Turkish language in world languages, its history, development and structural features.
BAY 102 (3-0-3-6) SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH METHODS: The aim of this course is to enable students to analyze the processes of a research (determining the problem, data collection, discussion  on findings, etc.). They  learn about basic reseach methods, how to reach the necessary literature, how to evaluate data and how to  write report.
IKR 104 (3-0-3-7) THEORIES OF COMMUNICATION : The aim of the course  is to provide students with  theoretical look  into the  interrelations between  media and society, media and people,  society and people and  help them gain critical thought  and comment over the  related subjects.
RKL 102 (3-0-3-7) ADVERTISING: This course aims to teach   students the logic  and basic principles of advertising as a communication tool and   provides  them  with a holistic perspective on integrated marketing communication a critical  outlook on advertising  in the context of consumption and popular culture.
TFT 106 (3-0-3-6) BASIC PHOTOGRAPHY: The aim of this course is to help students comprehend the basic terms and theories of photography, light, light sources, basic materials of photography  by photo shoot practices.

YDL 203 (3-0-3-3) FOREIGN LANGUAGE 1: This course  aims to enhance the written communication skills of the participants and  help them gain  qualification in preparing press releases  and media texts as well as academic writing.
ATA 201 (4-0-4-4) PRINCIPLES OF ATATÜRK AND HISTORY OF REFORMS : The aim of the course is to enable the students to comprehend Atatürk's principles and revolutions in the light of the challenges and struggle of the independence war. It also aims to teach the political developments in the process of establishment of the new state.
BPI 203 (3-0-3-5) INTEGRATED MARKETING: The aim of the course is to provide students with an understanding of the concept of integrated marketing communications and its functioning.

ISG 201 (2-0-2-3) ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION, HEALTH AND SAFETY HISTORY: The aim of this course is to provide the students with the basic knowledge on environmental protection, occupational health and safety within the scope of protection of human life and environment.
GEK 201 (3-0-3-4) MACROECONOMICS: The aim of this course is to help students get general knowledge on economics and  gain qualifications to work as   economics journalists after graduation.
ISS 201 (3-0-3-4) SOCIOLOGY OF COMMUNICATION: The aim of this course is to discuss the relation between society and communication based on the basic concepts of sociology of communication, to evaluate the research studies focusing on the aspects of production, content, reception and effects of the communication process in the context of sociology of communication and to analyze the mass communication processes with regards to the sociological side.
IYT 204 (3-0-3-5) BUSINESS MANAGEMENT: The aim of the course is to provide students with information about the basic concepts of business administration with an overview of business science and also with information about business and business functions.
MSE 203 (2-0-2-2) PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY AND ETHICS : The aim of this course is to provide students with the standards of professional ethics, professional responsibility, the principles of ethics, and the ability to question and assess the paradoxes of the profession.

YDL 206 (3-0-3-3) FOREIGN LANGUAGE II: The purpose of this course is to enable the students to recognize basic grammatical structures, use the structures they have already recognized, gain basic vocabulary needed for A2 level, define the structures they have already reconized through the reading materials and express themselves orally and in writing, explain listening materials at A2 level, and participate in oral practices and express themselves correctly at A2 level.
BTK 206 (2-0-2-2) USE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY: The aim of the program is to introduce students to the internet systems and popular services,  and let them acquire basic skills for using operating system (Windows 7)  and office application programs (MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
EDY 203 (2-0-2-3) CRITICAL THINKING, CREATIVITY AND ENTREPREUNERSHIP: The aim of this program is to provide students with the approaches for critical thinking and commenting, and let them acquire skills to apply these approaches to increase creativeness and innovation in order to foster entrepreneurship.
DBL 206 (3-0-3-5) BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES: The aim of this course is to help students acquire knowledge and skills about interpersonal communication, person-group and person-organization communication and integration, in particular by accommodating them with the basics of organizational behavior.
IHK 208 (3-0-3-4) COMMUNICATION LAW: This course aims to provide students with the relationship between freedom of expression and principles of mass media law, state's role and limitations on communication area, basic information and the conceptual discussions of main features of the regulations through rule of law.
KYS 210 (2-0-2-3) QUALITY ASSURANCE AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS: The aim of the course is to provide the students with information about quality and quality management systems and help them acquire the perspective required in the applied fields.
IDM 212 (3-0-3-5) INTERNET AND DEMOCRACY: During tn the course students  learn about the importance of democracy, human rights, freedom of speech, the concept of pluralistic and majoritarian democracy, the internet use to improve citizens’ participation in political life and increase their democracy demands or misuse of internet for creating disinformation.
MOY 203 (3-0-3-5) MEDIA LITERACY: The aim of this course is to inform students on analyzing media texts with a critical perspective, raising an awarenness about media messages, and creating active readers of media products.

HRY 309 (2-2-4-8) PUPLIC RELATIONS AND COPYWRITING: The aim of this course is to help students write advertisements for mass media and prepare documents for public relations activities, learn advertisement script format and basic documents for advertisements and pre-production, production and post-production phases of advertisements, make them acquainted with the ways of writing advertisements regarding that the process is not only related to creativity but also to paradigms such as customers, market conditions, cultural environment and rivals.
KIL 307 (3-0-3-7) CORPORATE COMMUNICATION: The aim of this course to provide students with the necessary information on corporate communication and communication techniques to be applied.
GTS 301 (3-0-3-5) GRAPHIC DESIGN: The aim of this course is to cover the basics of graphic design providing students with practical skills in graphic design. The students improve their practicing skills by traditional and modern methods, explore and examine the designs of the leading figures in the world of graphic design.
KIL 301 (3-0-3-5) INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION: This course  aims  to enable the students to  learn and define basic concepts and stages of human relations.
SPS 302 (3-0-3-5) SPONSORSHIP: This course aims to teach students the  concept of sponsorship, its historical development, aims and working areas, legal dimensions, preparing sponsorship  files, functions of sponsorship in various activities.
TDV 302 (3-0-3-5) CONSUMER BEHAVIOR: This course aims to teach students marketing strategies of business sectors, developing roles of consumer behavior and the importance of consumer behavior, how and under what influences consumer bahaviors were formed,  ways of protecting consumer rights when they encounter problems.
PRY 303 (3-0-3-5) STRATEGIC PLANNING PROJECT AND RISK MANAGEMENT: The aim of this course is to provide the students with the ability to search for the most suitable resources for organizations and use those resources according to a pre-determined plan within the scope of future expectations, to provide the students with information about strategic planning models and the planning perspectives to be generated by the components of those models, some of which are risk management and project management processes.
ISL 305 (3-0-3-5) WEB DESIGN: The aim of the course is to help the students learn the basic technical information on web design.
DFU 303 (3-0-3-5) DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY PRACTISES: This course aims to help students learn the new era of photography, the change in this branch of arts and produce photograpy by using these new techniques.
HIK 303 (3-0-3-5) PUBLIC RELATIONS CAMPAIGNS: This course aims to give the students the opportunity to see their theoretical knowledge in practice. Accordingly,  it provides them  especially the concept definition  of public relations  campaigns, campaign stages and techniques applied during the campaign.
IOY 303 (3-0-3-5) ENGLISH READING AND WRITING: The purpose of this course is to provide the students with essential tools for the improvement of their writing and reading skills and fluency by means of activities designed according to the students' interests, grammatical and lexical competencies.

KAY 304 (3-0-3-7) PUBLIC OPINION AND RESEARCH METHODS: The aim of the course is to help students acquire  experience about the methods of public opinion research and analyze the results.by participating in all steps of a public opinion research  process.
 MPL 310 (3-0-3-8) MEDIA PLANNING: In this course students are provided with the outlines of media planning process and experience related to media planning,  selection of mass media and purchasing mass media.
RTS 302 (3-0-3-5) ADVERTISING DESIGN: The aim of the course is to help students recognize various settings where design work is performed and the proper use, presentation and computer-assisted applications of photography and find appropriate solutions for the advertising and presentation activities.
COT 302 (3-0-3-5) MULTIMEDIA DESIGN AND PRACTISE: This course aims to teach the concepts and methods of multimedia design, the use of computers with examples to present text, graphics, video, animation and sound in an integrated way.
IVT 303 (3-0-3-5) ADVANCED WEB DESIGN: The aim of the course is to help the students acquire experience and information about advanced web design  spaces, the use and presentation  of photographs, texts, advertisements properly and  effectively.
MEP 303 (3-0-3-5) POLITICAL ECONOMY OF THE MEDIA: The aim of this course is to examine the operations of various media organizations characterized by the capital and political power and analyse the content, the phases of production and transmission of media messages in the framework of economic and political concept.
DSP 303 (3-0-3-5) DICTION AND ANNOUNCING: The aim of this course is to help students acquire competence to use voice and speak with a proper diction. This course provides the necessary theoretical and practical background for students to be an announcer/presenter both individually in front of public or on radio or television.
IHR 303 (3-0-3-5) PUBLIC RELATIONS AND ADVERTISING IN INTERNET: The aim of this course is to help students write advertisements for mass media and prepare documents for public relations activities, learn advertisement script format and basic documents for advertisements and pre-production, production and post-production phases of advertisements in order to make them acquainted with the ways of writing advertisements regarding the process' being strongly related to not only with creativity but also with paradigms such as market conditions, ethos, market and rivals.
HRA 303 (3-0-3-5) PUBLIC RELATIONS AND ADVERTISING RESEARCH: The aim of this course is to help students learn necessary reseach methods for analysing ads in public relations and gain competency to conduct surveys with these methods.
SIL 302 (3-0-3-5) POLITICAL COMMUNICATION: The aim of the course is to introduce students to definition of political communication, its mechanism and effects in different societies, different types of cognitive forms of political communication.
SST 301 (3-0-3-5) SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND COMMUNITY SERVISE PRACTISE : The aim of this course is to provide students with basic information on the topics of social responsibility and social work.
MIN 304 (3-0-3-5) PROFESSIONAL ENGLISH: The aim of the course is to provide students with an advanced level of knowledge on English language accordingly for their occupational needs in future.
RKU 304 (3-0-3-5) ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN PRACTISES: The aim of this course is to help students gain competence to carry out all the processes in an effective advertisement campaign in public relations.
TBG 304 (3-0-3-5) TABLET AND MOBIL JOURNALISM: This course  aims  to define the historical and theoretical backgrounds of practices of tablet and mobile journalism occured as a result of the transformation made by the digital technologies in news production, publishing and distribution.

IMY 402 (3-0-3-5) IMAGE AND BRAND MANAGEMENT: This course aims to enable students to configure recognition, promotion, positioning of brand and develop strategies,   follow brand strategies of rivals, thus ensuring the restructuring the brand.
IUY 403 (0-0-0-10) PRACTISES IN THE WORKPLACE: The  basic aim of the work placement activities embedded/attached into the semesters is to provide students with a relevant work environment which would enable them to apply the knowledge, skills and competences they acquire during their education and training period into practical life in their field as well as to enhance those skills, competences and knowledge and to gain practical experience in their field of study.
EST 401 (6-0-6-15) EFFECTIVE PRESENTATION AND INTERVIEW TECHNIQUES: The aim of this course is to enable students to acquire experience  about how an effective interview and presentation  is done  and the its phases by exercises and practices.
ATS 401 (6-0-6-15) PACKAGING DESIGN: This course aims to help the students acquire  competence to design packaging models accorded to the brand identity.
KKM 401 (6-0-6-15) CORPORATE IDENTITY: The course aims to inform students about the corporate identitity, and culture and also about the communication processes in constructing corporate culture.
SIL 401 (6-0-6-15) HEALTH COMMUNICATION: This course aims to inform students how to design communication strategies in order to promote positive health behaviour and about health related issues. It emphasises public interest dimension of health communication and helps them accquire knowledge on mass media and interpersonal dimensions of health communication.
SIT 401(6-0-6-15) SPORTS COMMUNICATION: The aim of this course is to analyse sport industry comprehensively. The program aims to help students gain information about sport corporations and analyse sport industry field.
SDT 401 (6-0-6-15) HISTORY OF POLITICAL THOUGHT: The aim of this course is to help students gain information about the emergence of political thoughts, developments,  effects and changes they created in history.

BPR 403 (0-0-0-10) GRADUATION PROJECT: This course aims  to help the students acquire competence  to analyse a case/subject they have chosen by using   research methods and thesis/report writing quidelines. 
ISL 404 (3-0-3-7) INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION: The aim of this course is to consider and discuss the problems that may arise in the process of intercultural communication in the context of the concept of culture and cultural differences, and search solutions for these problems.
PKM 402 (3-0-3-5) POPULAR CULTURE AND MEDIA: This course aims to enable students to evaluate the industrial products of popular culture in media in the context of sociological concepts, definitions and propositions and lead them to interrelated thinking.
TCM 402 (3-0-3-5) SOCIAL GENDER AND MEDIA: The aim of the course is to create awareness for gender equality and to examine the effect of media on the production and reproduction of gender roles.
SMD 405 (3-0-3-5) SOCIAL MEDIA: The aim of this course is to define the effects of the “www” culture in terms of social, political and culturel fields.
IKY 405 (3-0-3-5) HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT: The aim of this course is to provide the students with the fundamentals of Human Resources Management (HRM) and help them gain perspective and consciousness on the issues they will encounter in the real sector.
MAN 406 (2-0-2-3) MEDIA ANALYSIS: The aim of this course is to examine the effect of media order characterized according to capital and political power regarding  the content of media and the phases of the production and transmission of media messages.
SKM 406 (2-0-2-3) POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS: This course aims to help students get information about the definition of political campaign, its processes, tools and types and gain competence in carrying out a campaign.
UHI 406 (2-0-2-3) INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC RELATIONS: This course aims to help students comprehend promotion methods of products, corporates, services, politics and communication processes, obstacles and hardships in international arena.
